I finally got home at 1am Monday after packing up 100% Design and leaving London. The car got unloaded, the living room is full of moulded ply and I'm now managing the orders, emails and press enquiries.

In fact, can you imagine that I'm prototyping concepts and ideas already? Haven't been able to stop trying out all kinds of inspirations that keep surging!

I just loved meeting everyone at the show. A really rewarding experience and such a privilege to introduce people to what I have to offer.
It was great to see all of you :D

Tuesday 20 September 2011

I have just written a list of things I need to get done today so I'm ready to leave tomorrow for 100% Design..... Bloody hell!!!

But getting the ubiquity wing-lounge finished for the show has been so worth it.

Monday 19 September 2011

Two days to go before leaving for 100% Design and I have the Knelt™ Adult stool and desk have arrived and look spot on. I was on the phone first thing this morning to express my gratitude to the manufacturing team for such a good job.

The ubiquity wing-lounge is in the final faze of assembly and is coming together nicely. Just got to remember to take toothbrush and clean socks....

Dictator retouches history

Is it the creators right, once their work has been accepted and revered by the public, to go back and start altering their creation with the intention that the original becomes forgotten.....?

Have a read of these links to see if you agree...

Save Star Wars

BBC arts commentary

Ultimately, my take on it is "Lucas, stop messing with my childhood!!!"

100% Design Futures

Seven days to go until I leave for London Design festival to set up my stand X73 at 100% Design Futures.

Loads to do to keep me busy which includes two new products that I'm planning to launch.
I'm waiting on my Adult Knelt™ desk and stool preproduction prototype but there has been a production hitch that means its CNC cut will be delayed til Thursday....

The Ubiquity Wing-Lounge prototype is slowly but surely coming together with the commissioned seat cushions being collected on Friday for the final fitting. This creation will be the very definition of serendipitous design.
